A word of hope and encouragement for the soul
Isaiah 6:8 “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ and I said, ‘Here am I, Send me!'”
At the launch of this website, I begin the corner of hope with the scripture which serves as the driving force behind my purpose as an individual, minister of the Gospel, author, entrepreneur, and speaker. It is the text that most represents my zeal to serve. The prophet did not hesitate to respond to the call of God for one who would be willing to go and be used as His mouthpiece. We live in a time where there are not a lot who are truly willing to utter these words. There are not too many who will forsake all others to really follow the Lord. We tend to hold on to things, people and our own pride. We fail to understand that the Lord that we serve is the same who lords over our things and the people who surround us. His desire is to see if we will willfully release all of those things and be used by him. There is also the challenge of the pride. Not a lot of people, especially accomplished individuals who are willing to surrender their will. We want to be in control of everything. I encourage you today, while it can be a little challenging to let go of everything, it is worth it especially when you have the peace of mind that God is in total control. If the God of the universe is in total control, what do we have to fear? What will we possibly lack?
There is a world that is dying every day and in need of one who will respond to the call. Let us stop looking for someone else to do what we are called to do.
Question: Are you willing surrender today and let God use you? Are you willing to respond like the prophet and say “here I am, Send me?”
God bless you,
